Abstract. The article is the first part in the list of author’s research conclusions planned for publication in the sphere of contemporary society gender realia, which are part of social-philosophical discourse. The article considers the basic tendencies in the development of gender problematics in contemporary social-cultural space by the examples of literary and artistic works, contemporary periodicals and advertising materials. The author comes to the conclusion that on linguistic and social-cultural levels the gender asymmetry is used as an a priori basis of existence gender matrix.
