Abstract. The article studies the insufficiently known history of the Don Cossack family of Kazmichevs from Cossack village Luganskaya. Thanks to archival documents, many of which are for the first time introduced into scientific circulation, and basing on the cited biographical information of the individual members of Kazmichevs’ family, who left a significant mark in the history of not only the Don region, but Russia as a whole, it became possible to cover this subject.
