Abstract. The article presents an insight into the formation and development of criminal-legal norms regulating liability for crime infection with sexually transmitted diseases, gives their social assessment, and argues the social danger of the mentioned crimes. The author undertakes an attempt to trace the process of the main directions formation in the criminal policy of the soviet power in combating venereal diseases.
