Abstract. The author considers chamber-vocal creative works by Hugo Wolf in terms of composer style features and the basic principles of performer interpretation, pays particular attention to the principles of the interaction between poetic and musical texts in the composer’s chamber-vocal works, the role of speech intonation and gesture-spatial characteristics as the determinants of his artistic style, and covers the problems of equi-rhythmic translation and performer interpretation in terms of the unity of vocal and piano parts.
