Abstract. The author considers the theoretical and practical issues of improving the strategy of the pedagogical college students training for the patriotic education of elementary school children on the basis of regional material use under the conditions of regional identity preservation, reveals the features of the work system for students training for the regionalization of elementary school children patriotic education, including the disciplines of general cultural, psychological-pedagogical, and methodological cycles, special courses and electives, as well as teaching practice, and presents empirical data on the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.
