CULTURAL MODERNIZATION AND CULTURAL REVOLUTION: DIFFERENTIATION OF NOTIONS

Abstract. Considering the widely-spread ideas of modernization, including those in the sphere of culture, and as a consequence the occurrence of researches on cultural modernization, it is necessary to define more exactly the content of this notion and the boundaries of its use. The author considers the content of the notions "cultural modernization" and "cultural revolution", and conducts their comparative analysis and differentiation on certain grounds.
