Abstract. The authors reveal the specific features of ethnos material culture objects from the perspective of modern design theory, pay particular attention to the research of the phenomenon of traditional objects unique features as an identifier of each ethnic group, and in this connection develop the general structure of criterion analysis, which allows researching and revealing the specific features of ethnos material culture objects from the perspective of modern design theory.
