ASIAN BOSPORUS COMMERCIAL WINEMAKING INFLUENCE ON BOSPORUS STATE ECONOMY IN ANCIENT PERIOD

Abstract. The author considers the economic aspect of commercial winemaking within Asian Bosporus in antiquity, basing on the analysis of the quantity dynamics of composite wineries in Taman Peninsula and Sindika region during the period from the II nd century B.C. till the II nd century A.D. and the evaluation of their productivity determines the influence degree of ancient winemaking on the economy of Bosporus state as a whole, and also reveals some technological aspects of commercial winemaking in the mentioned period.
