POTASH PRODUCTION AS SPHERE OF ORENBURG PROVINCE TATAR ENTREPRENEURS’ ACTIVITY (THE END OF THE XVIII TH – THE FIRST HALF OF THE XIX TH CENTURY)

Abstract. The author considers the features of the Tatar entrepreneurs of Orenburg province in the sphere of potash production at the end of the XVIII th – the first half of the XIX th century, basing on the analysis of poorly studied archival documents reveals the features peculiar to the Tatar entrepreneurs, and undertakes the attempt to reveal the problems, which were faced by the Tatar merchants in the course of production activity and their consequences.
