Abstract. The author considers the formation history of the historical-liturgical and culturological contexts of God’s biblical Name interpretation (the sacred Tetragrammaton), sets the aim to conduct the comparative analysis of the Old Testament and the Greek-Byzantine traditions of God’s Name liturgical glorifying, and presents the culturological characteristics of the religious explanations of Tetragrammaton different interpretations in the history of culture.
