LIABILITY FOR ANIMALS CRUEL TREATMENT ACCORDING TO THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION LEGISLATION

Abstract. The author discusses the criminal-legal and criminological characteristic of the crime stipulated in Article 245 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (animals cruel treatment), considers both objective and subjective attributes of this criminal act, shows the public danger of such crimes, reveals the features of the criminal’s personality, and suggests measures aimed at preventing unlawful behaviour associated with animals cruel treatment.
