Abstract. The increasing significance of political communication in the functioning of the modern socium actualizes the problem of the communicative essence of power, forms and methods of its manifestation, the correlation of communicative and power components. The author researches the communicative specificity of political interaction, its moral-ethical principles, and gives the interpretation of the linguo-communicative code as a system of linguistic and extra-linguistic norms and rules that determine the success of modern political interaction.
