ESSENCE AND PRACTICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF CONTEXTUALITY RESEARCH AS NATIONAL CULTURE BASIC CHARACTERISTIC

Abstract. The author reveals the essence of contextuality as one of the basic characteristics of national culture, considers the combination of high and low contexts in the Russian verbal culture as the manifestation of "communicative equilibrium law", shows the connection of context manifestation degree with the traditional ways of the world cognition typical of national culture, and reveals the practical significance of using literary texts as the representatives of culture basic characteristics.
