SERVICE CLASS PEOPLE BY "GOVERNMENTAL RECRUITMENT" AT ATEMAR-SARANSK ABATIS LINE IN THE XVII TH CENTURY

Abstract. The author considers the formation of service class population at Atemar-Saransk abatis line in the XVII th century, pays considerable attention to the characteristics of such categories of service people by "governmental recruitment" as the Cossacks and the Streltsy, researches their numerical and national structure, and comes to the conclusion that the Streltsy and the Cossacks were the most numerous groups of service class people by "governmental recruitment", including the Mordovians and the Tatars, at Atemar-Saransk abatis line in the XVII th century.
