Abstract. The author describes the features of the Far Eastern population intra-familial relations, estimates the activity of the rural community and the Orthodox Church on the consolidation of the eastern Slavic population family, presents the laws of the Russian Empire, which regulated the family duties of the husband and the wife, provides information about the composition of large undivided rural families and also small ones, and describes the Far Eastern peasants’ family division.
