Abstract. The author considers the interpretation of time problem in the Russian composer A. N. Skryabin’s philosophy, tells that the conception of time in Skryabin’s works represents symbolists’ view on music as the highest art, the way of the most adequate comprehension of the world, presents the permanent conception of time, in which the past, present and future coexist (permanent time is usually referred to as static), and basing on Skryabin’s philosophical notes reveals five stages of musical cosmogenesis, during which time problem is solved.
