GLUCK’S REFORMATORY PRINCIPLES AND THEIR INFLUENCE ON BEL CANTO DEVELOPMENT

Abstract. The author considers the problem of Gluck’s opera reform interpretation as the bel canto style enrichment, analyzes the features of opera art development in the XVIII th century, reveals Gluck’s reformatory and innovative principles, covers the complexity of his works performance, concludes that the right attitude to the composer’s opera art, and hence, to the culture of vocal performance is lost, and also raises the question of the problem of Gluck’s true traditions reconstruction at the present time.
