Abstract. The authors analyze the social-philosophical doctrine of the Norwegian scientist Arne Naess – "deep ecology", present the history of its development and its essence, come to the conclusion that Naess suggested a completely new theoretical conception, which draws attention to the life value, the man’s place in nature system and calls to deal with pressing problems, and emphasize the interdisciplinary nature of ecological political science, its interconnection with other disciplines of classical sciences.
