GENESIS OF SUPERMAN IDEA COMPREHENSION AND ARTISTIC EXPLICATION BY D. S. MEREZHKOVSKII

Abstract. The author considers the evolution of understanding the idea of ?? superman in the creative works of D. S. Merezhkovskii, researches the specific samples of the writer’s literary-artistic creative works, in which he constructs the variants of the artistic-poetic vision of superman, reveals the stages of the genesis of D. S. Merezhkovskii’s creative reflection, traces the evolution from the apologetics of conditionally "Nietzsche’s superman" to his criticism and identification with Antichrist, separately analyzes the trilogy "Christ and Antichrist" as the most clearly defining the stages of the evolution in D. S. Merezhkovskii’s attitude to the phenomenon of superman, his spiritual, cultural-historical definition, and in conclusion states the incorporation of ??superman idea in the neo-Christian anthropology discourse by the thinker.
