Abstract. The authors cover the features of postwar electrification in the USSR by the materials of Ryazan' region, as an example consider the construction of the inter - collective farm Rassypukhinskaya hydropower station, and pay special attention to the substantiation of the topicality of power supply problem in agricultural production at the expense of small collective farm hydropower stations, the difficulties encountered in the process of the hydropower station construction, the achieved results.
