Abstract. The author analyzes the topical problem of social-philosophical knowledge – the tendencies of development and the modern state of the methodology of public life spiritual sphere research, pays special attention to the consideration of the advantages and disadvantages of rationalist paradigm and its alternative theoretical traditions, and presents the scientific coverage of the evolution of the problematic and object of society spiritual life research, as well as the tendencies in the integration of the methods and approaches of the disciplines related to philosophy.
