Abstract. The authors consider the role of the Egyptian armed forces in the formation of the foreign policy of the country, pay particular attention to the role of the armed forces leadership in international processes, and as a result of empirical data research come to the following conclusions: the Egyptian military establishment is particularly manifested in such international mechanisms as humanitarian interventions, contributing to the formation of Egypt as a key regional power; the Egyptian army acts as an element of compulsion and struggle with the revolution.
