Abstract. The author shows that the essence of non-historical mentality as an ideal-typical construction is determined by its structure, which includes such notions as "space", "eternity", "substance", "homogeneous time"; and also comes to the conclusion that non-historical consciousness as one of the basic characteristics of postmodernist paradigm reflects a human desire to constitute his authenticity via liberation from the "burden" of history.
