DISCURSIVE PRACTICES IN FOREIGN POLICY OF THE RUSSIAN EMPIRE IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF THE XIX TH CENTURY: BALKAN NATIONS

Abstract. The article focuses at the discursive practices of legitimizing the Russian state intervention in the fate of the Ottoman Empire Balkan nations’ subjects in the first quarter of the XIX th century. As a result of diplomatic correspondence materials analysis with the purpose to reveal the Russian agents’ estimations, their classification is presented. The author undertakes the attempt to give the characteristics of the main categories revealed in the classification of the Russian diplomatic agents’ views and their further systematization. The author seeks to demonstrate the compliance of certain discursive practices with the certain groups of diplomatic agents.
