Abstract. The article is devoted to the creation and development of Novosibirsk Military Flying School of Pilots, one of the first schools of the Air Force training flight personnel in Siberia. The questions of permanent and non-permanent personnel staffing, materiel and technical support and the organization of educational process are considered. Basing on the analysis of archival sources the author reveals the peculiarities of the flying school formation.
