Abstract. The article reveals the heuristic nature of philosophical anthropology principles application in design theories. The author’s analysis of the modern directions of "emotional" design is given. The author substantiates the necessity of relating the conceptions of design to the conceptions and categories of philosophical anthropology. According to the author, system philosophical methodology allows overcoming the one-sidedness of "emotional" design, considering the designer’s creative activity in wide social-anthropological context.
