Abstract. The article is devoted to the search for children’s place in the architectural-social utopias of the end of the 1920s published in the pages of "Modern Architecture" and "Pioneer". Soviet architects of this period received a task to search for a town-planning conception, which would be consistent with the plans of building a socialist state and new society. In their projects they not only "spelled out" the overall aesthetics and organization of urban space, but also, as never before, elaborated the organization of townspeople’s everyday matter.
