SOVIET AND GERMAN RELATIONS AND ATTITUDES OF GREAT BRITAIN AND FRANCE (1918-1923)

Abstract. The formation of the Soviet-German relations in 1918-1923 was a difficult process, influenced not only by the inner problems of the states, but also by the international situation and the interests of other countries. Great Britain and France were the leading states of post-war Europe and they had to take into consideration the Soviet-German cooperation during foreign policy formation. The author analyzes the attitudes of Great Britain and France to Germany and Soviet Russia, and makes conclusions about their impact on the formation and development of the Soviet-German contacts.
