MYTHOLOGICAL CHARACTERS OF DARGIN-TSUDAKHAR PEOPLE’S TRADITIONAL BELIEFS

Abstract. The article presents the description of the mythological characters of one of the Dargin people ethnic groups – the Tsudakhar people. The author reconstructs the images of the personified heavenly bodies, atmospheric phenomena, deities and demons of the past pagan pantheon and pandemonium of the Tsudakhar people. According to the author, these images represent the religious beliefs, outlook and worldview of the ancient Tsudakhar people, and show the hierarchical structure of deities and demons that occupied the space.
