ARTISTIC TEXTILE CRAFTS OF KURSK PROVINCE UKRAINIAN POPULATION AS ETHNO-CULTURAL PHENOMENON OF THE SECOND HALF OF THE ХІX TH – THE BEGINNING OF THE XX TH CENTURY

Abstract. The article reveals the features of patterned weaving and carpet making development, which became widespread among the Ukrainian population of Kursk province in the second half of the XIX th – the beginning of the XX th century. The basic factors of the development and popular artistic handicraft forms diversity in the sphere of textile production are studied. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of ethno-cultural traditions and the diversity of artistic techniques, the most common within Kursk province.
