Abstract. The article reveals the content of the notion "risk society", which is spreading in philosophical knowledge to denote the specific ways of dealing with uncertainty. The author presents an attempt to link the emergence and development of bioethics with the formation of "risk society". Special attention is paid to the problem of the connection between risks in medicine and the riskogenic nature of contemporary socium.
