Abstract. The author analyzes political relations that occur in the system of local self-government, pays special attention to the consideration of these relations participants (the population of a municipality, local self-government bodies, political parties and other institutions of civil society), and mentions that in a municipality system there occurs a special layer of political relations - municipal political relations arising from the implementation of population’s right to realize local self-government.
