B. N. CHICHERIN’S HISTORICAL-STATE VIEWS IN ESTIMATIONS OF SOVIET HISTORIOGRAPHY OF THE MIDDLE OF THE 70S – THE END OF THE 80S OF THE XX TH CENTURY

Abstract. In the second half of the 60s – at the beginning of the 70s of the XX th century in the soviet historiography, researching the state views of the outstanding Russian thinker B. N. Chicherin, a discussion appeared, which subject was the scientist’s view on the social-political system of Russia. The process of understanding B. N. Chicherin’s state doctrine continued in subsequent years, and caused the ambiguous estimations of his intellectual legacy. The objectives of this article are: the research of emerging tendencies in the scientific coverage of the thinker’s views, the comparative analysis of soviet historians’ works on the stated problem, the revelation of the advantages and disadvantages of the works devoted to the consideration of B. N. Chicherin’s paternalistic views.
