CHRONOLOGICAL FRAMEWORK PROBLEM IN HISTORY OF HORDE STATE AND RUSSIAN-HORDE RELATIONS

Abstract. The author determines the lower and upper time limits of the historical existence of Horde state (Ulus Jochi), analyzes a number of factors allowing different interpretations of state integrity; and proves that the lower limit of Horde existence should be considered as 1242 - the time when Horde actually became an independent state, and the upper limit of Horde existence is determined not by the disintegration of Horde to Golden Horde and Great Horde, but by the fact of the cessation of Horde existence in 1502.
