MOTHERLAND IMAGE OFMEDIUM AEVUM: EXPERIENCE OF SOCIOLOGICAL REFLECTION

Abstract. The author conducts the interdisciplinary research of motherland image main attributes formation in the Middle Ages, basing on the comparative analysis of literary, philosophical, historical and cultural sources distinguishes the features of such image dynamics in peoples' spiritual life within East and West during themediumaevumperiod, and substantiates that the given historical period shows the failure of the attempts to create a single image of motherland basing on religious faith, which emphasizes both the topicality and increasing complexity of finding collective identification spiritual foundations in the multiethnic mental spaces of modern societies.
