Abstract. The author basing on the research of a number of Kazakh scientists' works considers the actual scientific problem related to the study of agrarian relations history in Western Kazakhstan of the XIXth - the beginning of the XXth century, shows the founding principles and methods of the problem research in national historiography, and conducts their structural analysis.
