PHILOSOPHICAL INTERPRETATION OF JUDAS ISCARIOT IMAGE BY М. А. BULGAKOV IN THE NOVEL THE MASTER AND MARGARITA

Abstract. The author considers the interpretation of Judas Iscariot image proposed by M. A. Bulgakov in the novel The Master and Margarita, basing on the analysis of the text comes to the conclusion that Judas of Kiriath represents the lawless judgment of Judaic high priests over Jesus Christ in the novel of М. А. Bulgakov The Master and Margarita, and shows that М. А. Bulgakov's Judas of Kiriath, with his significant divergence from the Gospel prototype and with additional meaning, preserves the axiological and philosophical components contained in the Gospel.
