PARTIES IN POLITICAL SYSTEM OF GREAT BRITAIN IN THE XVIIITHCENTURY

Abstract. The author studies parties in the context of the British political system evolution in the XVIIIth century, considers the main directions of early political parties gradual transformation into constitutional mechanisms and the structures of political participation of modern type, shows these processes in close connection with the redistribution of prerogative powers and the progressive metamorphosis of personal monarchy into parliamentary one, covers the historical specificity of the interrelations of the first British political parties with monarchs and the Cabinet of Ministers, and pays special attention to the analysis of the historiography on this problem.
