FEAST OF REVOLUTION THEME IN PAINTING OF POST-OCTOBER EPOCH

Abstract. The author analyzes the development of feast genre in the works of the Russian painting of the first third of the ХХth century, emphasizes the feast experience of revolutionary art, and sequentially considers the transformation of folklore-historical theme into the deep metaphorical idea of revolutionary national triumph paying attention mainly to the paintings from the collection of the Central Museum of Revolution.
