Abstract. The authors consider the privatization of river industry enterprises in the first half of the 90s of the ХХthcentury, and the features of river industry enterprises transition to market relations, present experts' estimations on reforms in river industry, show the distinctive features of the Enisei river shipping lines privatization, the role of the shipping lines head A. A. Pechenik in the single structure preservation of the Enisei river shipping lines, and describe the consequences of privatization for river industry in whole.
