Abstract. The author reveals the content of the notion social reality and its transformation in ancient philosophy, pays special attention to the philosophical views of Socrates, Plato and Aristotle, as views on social reality nature have their origin in Ancient Greece, and believes that the study of the history of the notion social reality origin is the methodological basis of society analysis.
