Abstract. The author studies the geography of Russian goods export in the trade of Russia within the Caspian Sea basin through Astrakhan' in the XVIIIth century basing on the wide range of archival sources, pays particular attention to the role of Iran, North Azerbaijan and Central Asia sea ports in the export transactions of Russia, analyzes the potential of native goods trade through the port of Astrakhan', and reveals its features in comparison with export transactions in Baltic, Kyakhta and Archangel directions of export trade in Russia.
