PROBLEM OF LAND ALLOTMENTS ENSURING FOR NON-REGIMENTAL COSSACK POPULATION WITHIN ENISEISK AND IRKUTSK PROVINCES AFTER 1871 REFORM

Abstract. The author discusses the reasons, essence and results of land allotments admeasurement for the non-regimental (not included in the payroll of Eniseisk and Irkutsk Cossack regiments) Cossack population of Eniseisk and Irkutsk provinces after the reform of 1871, shows that the consideration of this subject allows extending the idea of Cossack land ownership in Siberia established in historical science, and studies the problem by the example of the family of the great Russian artist, Eniseisk Cossack Vasilii Ivanovich Surikov.
