Abstract. The author presents the analysis of urbanization quantitative index dynamics - urban and rural population size of Tyumen' region in the second half of the XXth - the beginning of the XXIst century - basing on statistical data, reveals and compares the trends in the dynamics of urban population and urbanization transition in the districts and in the south of Tyumen' region, as well as with West Siberian economic regions and Sverdlovsk region, and shows urbanization influence on the dynamics of Tyumen' region rural population.
