LAW SPECIFIC AND ITS ELEMENTS UNDERSTANDING IN R. POUND'S THEORY

Abstract. The author analyzes the features of law and its elements understanding in R. Pound's sociological-legal theory, reveals that the assertion of three elements presence in law is the foundation of the American scientist's theory, describes them as the legal regulations including principles, standards, postulates; the legal technique, which is legal practice, the art of lawyers; the ideal element with changing content determined by the conditions of particular place and time; and substantiates that such understanding of law, where all European lawyers' ideas are reworked, contributes to the effective formation and action of law in society.
