PEASANT LAND COMMUNITY WITHIN YARENSKII DISTRICT OF VOLOGDA PROVINCE IN THE XVIIITH CENTURY

Abstract. The author describes peasant land community within Yarenskii district of Vologda province in the XVIIIth century, where there was no land ownership, and the power in volosts and villages was in the hands of the elected peasant administration, and basing on unpublished sources pays special attention to peasant community functions: land, fiscal and administrative ones.
