Abstract. The author studies the process of secret agentry formation and staffing in Tyumen' gendarme department in 1905-1917, which task was to watch the situation in cities and districts, to inspect mail, to facilitate proclamations detection, to conduct other criminal propaganda suppression and leftist organizations detection and liquidation.
