CIVILIZATION AND SAVAGERY IN MODERN LIFE: TERRORISM AND EXTREMISM ORIGINS

Abstract. The author pays special attention to the methodological problems of civilization and savagery differentiation, and considers them as comparable and commeasure forms of human life, which coexist and interact. Mass violence connected with terrorism and extremism is the negative result of such interaction. It entails the necessity of significant changes in the assessment of real threats to modern life security. Constantly growing tension between social nature and culture becomes alarming trend accompanying the further development of the whole civilization.
