Abstract. The author reveals the position of the American sociological jurisprudence representatives T. Parsons and H. Bredemeier on law role in society and state. The key idea is that a lawyer is a buffer between society and state performing intermediary function by bringing to society members state will and reporting to state about society changes, new requirements and the necessity to harmonize society, state and individuals' interests via law practice.
