Abstract. The author studies the political-legal views of the Russian thinker K. F. Golovin (1843-1913), who belonged to conservatives, and shows that his works that contain valuable observations of the political processes, which took place in European countries in the XIXth century, as well as the considerations on Russian distinctive state development, are almost forgotten today.
